Michael has a 2011 T12-42 model Turbosaw. His machine came with computer sizing and the
thin kerf blade option.
The computer system makes sizing more productive as it is instantaneous and accurate every
time. This will become very valuable when sawing timbers of high value.
He has good experience using bandsaws to saw hardwood timbers. He opted to purchase a
Turbosaw as blade cost, accuracy and maintenance were important factors in his decision. He
also liked the automation over other swing blade sawmills.
His operation is setup in Cairns and is aiming to supply furniture timbers from quality
hardwoods. A lot of these timbers are recovered from his own property.
While I was with Michael he showed me a preview of the types of timber he will be sawing.
